Well, is it$%: It's a good question, is it not$%: Is there any truth in it, because there are those people who would have you believe that it is hard to be saved$%: Just by association and through innuendo, the idea that being saved is hard, suggests we have something to do with our being saved, but is this true$%: Surely, being saved, if it involves effort, toil, difficult choices and/or industrious participation on our part, it must then, by association, be hard$%: In order to answer these questions truthfully we need to know, first and foremost, what salvation is before we can ascertain as to whether it is hard to be saved or not.
Before I press on, perhaps another pertinent question would be whose will is it that we should be saved$%: Is it our will, our pet budgerigar's will, our mum's will, Uncle Tom Cobbley's will or even our local pastor's will$%: Finally, could it just be God's will$%: Ever thought of that$%: Have you ever considered that it may just possibly be that it is only the Father God's will that any man or woman be saved and no one else's will$%:Furthermore, as an example, was it Samuel's will or Jeremiah's will that they should be saved and called to be prophets of The Lord or was it purely God's will$%: Let's read it in Holy Scripture and see for ourselves to find out:
1 Sam 3:4 That the LORD called Samuel: and he answered, "Here am I."

Jer 1:5 "Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations."
Here we can plainly see God's will alone is all that is involved here, that these two men should be called, and so it is with any son or daughter of God, called to be a brother of The Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord Jesus Christ said: John 6:44 "No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day."Here is a fundamental truth that tells us no man or woman can come to Jesus Christ unless the Father draws or calls him/her first. Man, of his own will or choice, cannot come to the Lord Jesus Christ - it's impossible, because he doesn't have a choice nor the will. The Father determines or chooses who will be called and when they will be called; man has no say in the matter at all other than to respond in a similar way to Samuel - "Here am I". Please note there is no option for refusal on the part of the one called in this arrangement, otherwise God is impotent and has no will.
A warning and sound word of advice here, always beware of people who will tell you that they found Jesus Christ or they accepted Jesus Christ as their Saviour. By them admitting these things they are telling you that they are 'saved' on their terms or by their choice and will and not by God's will alone. By uttering these terms they are telling us that they, as mere human beings, are the ones who determine whether or not they are saved. From the Biblical evidence we can plainly see that we have no involvement in this process of being saved. It is plainly not true and therefore a blatant deception on the part of those who teach this nonsense. Again, if we are the ones doing the finding, choosing and accepting then salvation or being saved, by default, is then down to us and is all dependent upon us; our will, our choice and our strength, a genuine tail wagging the dog situation and a blasphemy. Is it any wonder that so many in mainstream Christianity are obsessed about losing their salvation$%: When we understand what their 'salvation' is founded or built upon i.e. sand or in another word - themselves, you can then fully understand the reasons for their Spiritual insecurity - a most wretched of wretched conditions. We must always remember too that all things are to the glory of God and for God's glory alone, not to, or for, the glory of man with his silly vain notions and ideas about having a role, a choice or a part in his salvation - it's all fallacious nonsense.

Where was I$%: Oh yes, salvation and what it is or what it means to be saved. Well we know from what I have said above that the decision to be saved is not our own. The timing of it too is not ours either, (please read the story of the labourers in the vineyard in Matt 20:1-16) so that takes two weights off of our shoulders for starters, but what of the process towards salvation known as discipling$%: The Father calls and we say "Here am I", what then, what happens next$%: Do we join a 'church'$%: Do we join an Alpha Course$%: Do we apply to join a Bible College and get an 'ology'$%: Do we get ourselves a loud hailer and go down to the local town centre and preach The Word and get arrested for being 'homophobic' - just what is that anyway$%: Do we become a monk or a nun and get ourselves a Friar Tuck outfit, including the sandals - hey dude, how cool is that!$%: Do we fancy sporting one of those pudding basin hair cuts - even more cool; the kids will love it!!$%:$%: Do we shave our heads and/or don sack cloth with a good sprinkling of ashes - don't forget to have a bonfire first because with central heating, ashes are a bit in short supply these days$%: What about penance, yes, what about it, on second thoughts, don't even go there!$%: Do we give away all our wealth and possessions to the poor - 'cos we have got to make poverty history - didn't you know that$%: Should we all be speaking in tongues$%: Should we creep about with our heads bowed, hands clasped and looking oh so very 'holy'$%: What about our sins$%: The Father called us and we said "Here am I" but we're still sinning and having evil thoughts. Now we're feeling guilty, 'cos we shouldn't be doing these things and having these thoughts - oh dear what shall we do - light a candle perhaps$%: Hang on, wait a minute, all is not lost, we can always pop into one of those 'funny' little cubicles and tell that even 'funnier' little man all about our sins - but don't forget your 50 hail Mary's and 100 quid/bucks 'cos he's got bargain basement salvation - just for you at 50% off - hey, that's a snip at half the price!
OK, just a little fun at the expense of all those deceived 'holy' religious types out there. Please note too, I will be returning to the statement: "Here am I" later as this remark says far more than meets the eye. Furthermore, I could add to this sarcastic list of questions, possibly forever, but I can only mock for a while, as this subject is too important to be taken lightly for too long. Having said that, we should fully understand that many new converts being called to The Lord and coming in to His fold from the world will come in with more than a few of the above false impressions, expressions and ideas about what it means to be saved or to be a Christian. All the above are false impressions, expressions and ideas of religion and not what it means to be saved and be a true follower of The Lord Jesus Christ. This point is crucial: Always remember, following The Lord Jesus Christ is not religion.
Now that's about it for my opening article on being called and I will expound on what it really means to be saved in my next article - please stay with it, as your Spiritual and physical welfare is at stake. Which simply means, escaping a whole load of trials and tribulations just prior to Jesus Christ's return:
Rev 18:4 "And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues."
The 'her' here in this Scripture is the global Whore of Babylon; the counterfeit religious organisation or system, with its offshoots known as denominations (divisions) or demon-inations, as I like to call them. This organisation poses as a church and the Lord commands those of His people - The Elect who have mistakenly become embroiled in it, to leave it or come out it. If you are one of God's Elect you should do this now, as quickly as possible, if you know what's good for you, otherwise you will continue to be a partaker of her sins and will become a fellow recipient of the plagues coming in the whore's direction just before the Messiah's return. You have been warned in love!!
